M&A International Member Firm of the Year
May 2008 | News & PressMay 16, 2008 – During M&A International Inc.’s spring conference in Boston, the M&A alliance launched a series of awards in recognition of members’ work during the previous year. On Friday, May 16, 2008, against the backdrop of breathtaking views from Boston’s State Room, eight sector awards were announced as well as Deal of the Year and Member of the Year.
Member of the Year 2007 went to member firm TM Capital’s Boston office, which was formerly Boston Corporate Finance. The award was based on the member’s M&A contribution to generating cross-border deal flow.
From over 380 deals closed in 2007, M&A International’s Swiss member won Deal of the Year for advising Pentapharm Ltd. on its sale to DSM Nutritional Products. M&A International Inc.’s Dutch member assisted in introducing the opportunity to the headquarters of DSM in the Netherlands.

Business Support Services Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Denmark assisted by M&A International’s German member for advising on a sale mandate for Skandinavisk Industriservice A/S. Lead advisor: Jonas Knudsen.
Energy Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Dallas for advising on a sale mandate for The Surepoint Group. Lead advisors: Erik Slockers and Mike Stengle.
Food & Beverage Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Norway assisted by M&A International’s Finnish member for advising on a sale mandate for Maritim Food AS. Lead advisor: Bjørn Campbell Pedersen.
Healthcare Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Switzerland assisted by M&A International’s Dutch member for advising on a sale mandate for Pentapharm Ltd. Lead advisor: Peter Binder.
Logistics Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Ireland for the sale of an equity stake in Birmingham International Airport, UK, to Airport Group Investments, Australia. Lead advisors: Ger Heffernan and Ted Webb.
Retail Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in Ireland for advising on a buy mandate for Anthony Nicholas Group. Lead advisor: Leo Casey.
Technology Deal of the Year: M&A International’s member in the Netherlands assisted by M&A International’s member in Boston for advising on a sale mandate for Axon Digital Design B.V. Lead advisor: Maarten Wolleswinkel.
