TM Capital Attends 58th M&A International Spring Conference in Berlin
June 2012 | News & PressNew York, NY – June 18, 2012 – TM Capital professionals Brad Adams and Luis Miranda attended the 58th M&A International (MAI) Spring Conference held from June 14 – 16 in Berlin, Germany. The event, hosted by MAI partner firm Angermann M&A International GmbH, attracted over 160 M&A advisors from more than 40 countries.
Throughout the three-day conference, MAI alliance partners met to share best practices, discuss M&A opportunities in different industry sectors covered by specialist firms around the globe, and review the distinct approaches used by partner firms to win mandates and ultimately close successful transactions.
The highlight of the event was the 12th Annual M&A Mid-Market Forum (MMF) where MAI partners met with over 60 industrial strategic acquirers to discuss their global M&A initiatives and review potential target ideas from every major geography on the planet. Overall, more than 600 one-on-one private meetings were held between senior executives from a variety of strategic acquirers and our MAI partners based on geographical interests and sector preferences. Following the MMF, Germany’s Federal Environment Minister, Peter Altmaier, addressed the conference attendees during an evening reception at the Reichstag and discussed the status of Germany’s sustainability initiatives, the political situation in Europe and his forecast regarding the future of the Euro. The major take-away from the MMF and Mr. Altmaier’s address was that despite all of the hype in the media surrounding the crisis in Europe, there are tremendous growth opportunities available to both strategic and financial acquirers and the core drivers of M&A activity are alive and well in the international market.
During the conference, TM Capital Managing Director Brad Adams, who serves in a variety of senior capacities within MAI, participated in multiple Executive Committee discussions to help shape the strategic direction of the alliance. He also conducted meetings for the Americas Regional Group and MAI’s Global Technology Group, in which valuable global industry intelligence and insight was shared throughout the alliance members.
This year’s Spring Conference was extremely successful, as it reinforced M&A International’s leadership position in the global M&A market and further demonstrated how MAI partner firms collaborate to deliver expert-based, global advisory services that are unparalleled in the industry. M&A International’s Fall Conference will be held from October 25 – 27, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. For more information, visit
